Growth performance of the Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis Niloticus) fed raw and processed roselle (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) Seed Based Diets

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the most important fish species in aquaculture, as it widely cultivated and consumed around world. Roselle seed can be a viable alternative feed ingredient for tilapia. However, research needed to optimize different processing methods nutrient composition seed-based diets ensure maximum growth performance This study was carried out investigate Nile fed with raw differently processed Hibiscus sabdariffa (Roselle) protein source. Fifteen plastic aquaria 60cm x 50cm 30cm were used rear tilapia 28 weeks. Each aquarium stocked twenty fingerlings (average weight 0.60g), continuous aeration provided using whirl charging electro-magnetic aerator (Model: ACO 003). Water quality parameters carefully monitored. The results proximate (PC) Raw Processed seeds indicated that crude (CP) level higher Fermented [FR] (39.70%); followed by Boiled [BR] (38.82%), Soaked [SR] (38.50%), [RR] (38.02%) least CP found Sprouted [SPR] (37.70). All these values significantly (p<0.05). obtained performances indices (GPI) statistically O. niloticus FR had highest mean gain 369.11g, BR (359.64); SPR (358.74), SR (349.68) RR (349.18). Other similar trend. Specific Growth Rate (0.26) (0.28) (0.29) (0.30). In conclusion all various techniques employed this significant effects on PC GPI O, while best all. 
 Le remplacement et la supplémentation des régimes concentrés par le fourrage sont très prometteurs en production cunicole puisqu’ils classés comme pseudo-ruminants. Trente (30) croisés sevrés (les deux sexes) poids initial compris entre 750 770 g divisés cinq groupes six (5 mâles 1 femelle) chacun assignés au hasard aux traitements selon plan complètement randomisé (PCR) chaque ayant trois répétitions dans essai d’alimentation 63 jours. données recueillies étaient l’apport alimentaire quotidien, corporel hebdomadaire, taux conversion (TCA) coût calculés soumis à une analyse variance (ANOVA) l’aide progiciel S.A.S (2002). résultats révélé (T4), avaient final quotidien significativement plus élevés (p <0,05) 2000, 1950g, 19000g 19,84g 19,21g, 19,05g respectivement. résultat montre recevant consommation quotidienne élevée (P < 0,05) (83,50 g) parmi traitements, faible (60,90 g). sous T4 meilleurs termes TCA suivis concentré/fourrage T3, T2 T1. montrent outre unique avait bas ₦131,5 élevé ₦378,86 enregistré pour T4. Cependant, nourris ou réductions d’environ 49,17 16,83 %, ajouts -10,74 -46,43 % kg. De retours investissement lapin notés T3. profit marge brute était meilleur T3.
